Don’t screen God’s calls

Expect to hear from God: Listen carefully to those around you. God’s message to you may be carried through your co-workers, other parents at your children’s school, your spouse, your friends.

The voice within: If an idea comes to you out of nowhere, ask yourself if it could be inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Be suspicious of coincidences: Is it a coincidence or an incidence of God? When you’re startled by the convergence of two things you didn’t expect, consider whether God is trying to tell you something.

Pause and reflect: If it seems like God never has anything to say to you, do some journaling on the events of the past few months. See whether some of the events in your life reflect the movement of God.
